Bloggin' Deluge

I originally wrote the previous blog 3 days ago, but it wouldn't let me post it, which is why this hasn't been updated too terribly recently. I''m trying though, I'm trying. So now here's an update to the brand new blog, making your experience that much more amazing, right? Come back soon!

Digital Delay

I talked to the HR lady at the future job the other day and she said my background checked out and that I could probably start on the 12th. We haddiscussed the 5th, so I was more tyhan happy to accept the later start date. I mean, I'm excited to start the job, but I can always wait a little bit before beginning an endless cycle of employment. I'm hoping to construct a power-packed-week-plan to really accent my unemployment in style. It's always nice to come away with a good feeling after being inactive so long. I've taught myself some Flash, and I've had a lot of fun, but I want a crowning achievement, I want a trophy or plaque oor maybe I just want to pat myself on the back. Actually, if you've been reading this and folowing my life of wanton abandon you probably hate me out of jealousy as it is, but rest assured I'll be just as mired in the doldrums of employment as you very soon, probably moreso! Oh the poetic justice.

Now I'm going to go draft up some plans for the final week of my life as we know it.

I wrote this a couple days ago. It no got posted. Enjoy!

Pee

I urinated, it went into a cup which I was holding which I then took out of the bathroom and gave to an indian woman who took some of it an then had me pour it out in the toilet. It was real weird but it should help me get a job.

Male Man

I spent $26 on postage today, just to mail off some things to friends and relatives. I felt pretty productive with a pile of packages there at the post office. It's always nice to be removing some of the clutter in my life. Whether I'm taking out trash to give to the trash man or sending pictures and toys to friends, I never hesitate to pay someone to get my crap out of my life. OK, I do hesitate actually, but it sounded better to say I didn't.

Devil Dos
I used this title before, but I forgot that I had. Just goes to show that Great Minds think alike (ie. me from a few days ago and me tonight...)

I played a lot of Diablo 2 today and I keep thinking I'm near the end then discovering there's much more to the game than where I am. It's a good/bad feeling because I am glad I amgetting my money's worth and the game is long, but I keep playing like nobody's business just to find out I gotta keep on keeping on to overcome evil. Video games have that effect on me, I love them but I don't let myself enjoy them as much as I could because I think of all the time I lose when I'm playing them, Time I could be spending hanging out with friends or reading or doing any other lame stuff like that. Nevermind, video games rule!

Epilogue

Tomorrow I hope to continue riding this wave of being productive and doing the things I've been putting off. I'm running out of time.

Tournament of Champions

The Magic Planeshift PreRelease was yesterday and it was really fun, but I did pretty poorly. Erica did alright, and Dave got killed a lot of the time, but it was still a good time. What could be more fun than playing a card game in a room filled with a medley of fat-bearded-men, young-thug-looking-guys, and random dorks? I just need to hone my skills. One of the guys I played (who beat me) went on to be in the top eight and win a box of the new cards, then he came over and was talking to me and Erica because he recognized her from a dismemberment plan show. What are the odds of two DPlan fans playing magic at the same tournament? Actually, it's either a testament to the growing popularity of both or just an obvious correlation since they both have roots in the fertile dork-soil.

Bday afterB

Friday was Erica's birthday, which meant we went out for sushi friday night and then again saturday night after the tourney. Sushi Ninja, the place we went friday, always does a great job with their sushi, although I got Tempura and it came on a plate shaped like a boat with a melon slice cut to act as the bow of the ship. It was real professional and really tasty, and fairly cheap too. The only thing Sushi Ninja lacks is a formall (in a good way) atmosphere, because it's more like a strip-mall place than a "nice restaurant". Tono Sushi (which we hit last night) was a nicer place to eat and tey did sing happy birthday with us, but the food wasn't quite as stellar. It was good, but the Ninja has the name. The servers are friendly and over-attentive (also in a good way) at both places. That's my restaurant review, and I invite you to come up to DC and experience it for yourself, unless I don't know you of course. I don't want any weirdos who get off on reading about magic tournaments showing up at my door.

Below Job

The job of the future is looming over me, about to fall and engulf me. I'm looking forward to it, although I can always stand to wait a little longer before I'm employed. I'm optimistic that the job will be enjoyable and hott. I think I have to take a drug-test, which is something I don't agree with, but I don't mind. I've never really seen a huge problem with it, actually, but I do value peoples' rights to do what they like and not have to be presumed guilty or bad due to lifestyle choices. Still, I urinate on a daily basis, it's not much different this time, except this time I get access to a car and some cell-phones, whereas usually I just get the pleasure of watching the scintillating amber and golden hues spiral down to oblivian.

Mashed potatoes and fake sausage tonight, then maybe some pretzel-making-fun. YEah!
