I won't start by making excuses for not posting in a few days...
Paul came into town over the weekend and we had a great time painting minitures and walking long distances from one end of the National Mall to the other, which has left me with aching legs. I really need to get out and get more exercise, but how? How? Join a gym? Not on your life.. It used to be that I'd get some minimal abount of exercise by shaking my Pikachu Virtual Pet (he'd count your steps, but it was easier to attach him to your foot and tap it repeatedly while you did something slovenly like play video games), but I got about 750,000 steps into it before the battery died. What really sucked was that something special happens when you reach a million steps and I'd been putting about 25,000 a day on (if I remembered to shake him). Needless to say I was utterly disappointed when he died. But, I have managed to make it through my period of mourning, and you'll be delighted to know that I've purchased a new one. All in the name of physical fitness.
Off Track, On Balance
It was great to have paul here, and while he visited we took a look at old pictures and thought about days gone by. We even met up with my middle-school-College pal, Ian McGee, who lives here in DC but I lost his number and was too lazy/dumb to call 411 to get it. Anyhow, I scanned in some pictures of Paul's Band, KickMeKate, that I've taken over the years. There's only 6 of them, and they're mostly of Paul, but if you want more, go to their site. Meanwhile, enjoy these: PAUL KMK PICS.
